I hated it, part a) we didnt even do that in school, part b) i dont think any amount of study on alpha and beta decay could help you there, but i think i got 2-3/3 for iii. c) i wrote 2 pages for, 80% of which was english/general knowledge, 20% economics. and 0% phyiscs. d) was more like what i was expecting, im expecting 6+/8 for it.

This was definately the hardest section of the exam for me. What did you guys and gals think of it?

Man I loved this option, it was so eassy, unlilke the core section, and you could write soo much for that manhattan project one as well :D

some of the core was stupid, until i ended up figuring it out

someone told me the mass of the rest proton should be more
than the velocity proton?

but i dont think that he told the question very well...

the decay stuff... i just guessed... i figured the Th one had to be less than 238... so i have a 1/238 chance of getting it right... can't remember what i did after that, but i'm pretty sure it involved failing... actually i didn't think i did too badly altogether, but that exam was a real shocker...

did u get 1.70 *10^-27 kg

and rest mass was 1.67*10^-27 kg

both 3 sig figs

Yeah..my last one was 1.666 x 10^-27 im pretty sure

the first one also sounds familiar

both were 234 atomic mass, and for the second one it was 234 Pa
