the question actually read "you have performed first-hand investigations on water samples using qualitative and quantitative analysis.

(a) Distinquish between qualitative and qualitative analysis."

I realised it was only worth two marks but I covered my but by giving examples. I'm actually pretty happy cause I stuffed most of the others like that light source question!

This qn was only worth 2 marks. It asked to define both qualitative and quantitative. It wuldnt have been " a must " to include examples.

Quantitative: quantity hence measures how much is in a substance

Qualitative: quality hence determines what is in the substance
