It would've been better if Annaliese was shot. No more tert.

They should fucking well get on with their lives. It seems so pointless to bother with a uni queer space. Just teach everyone kung fu. Then if homophopic people threaten them, they can kung fu their arses down.

Haha they think it'll get into the SMH. They're dreaming.

If they actually had some proof and were going through the proper channels e.g. Member of Parliament (State and Federal), whatever systems the University has, bringing media attention the proper way, then fine, but they're not.

Just when you thought it was all over...again. I struggle to see their logic here. Do they think going about things this way is the best way to get any change implemented? I guess they may be a little frustrated, but being a minority group, they should grin and bear it. Being a homophobe is probably a minority group too, i mean, in all honesty, i know that im fairly impartial to fags, as much shit as i give them, it's their own life. Who am i to judge what they do. I'm sure many other rational, reasonable people share the same opinion which i do. But, that opinion is slowly being reformed into one of contempt and disappointment at their actions. With the way they are going about things, I would be one to vote for them to fuck off. That is all. Respect.

Operation Q Space Minutes
Monday 31st August 2004

1. Henry Collier has offered to be the official negotiator for meetings with the
university executive. The general consensus was goodo. Goodo!
2. Sparki & Joel are going to work on contacting those who offered us free
web design to determine what will and will not be on the site etc.
3. On Thursday @ 12:30pm on McKinnon Lawn we will be presenting Gerard
Sutton (or an impersonator in his absence) with the Homophobic University of
the Year award for 2004. Come along kiddies! Let's embaress the *giddy-up!*
out of him.
4. WUPA members are staging a coup, and trying to oust the current WUPA
administration due to the special general meeting regarding their newly
created position of Queer Rep. A bunch of homophobes are arguing that the
meeting was unconstitutional, and are also trying to get Jason Hart etc fired.
There is a homophobes meeting tomorrow at the Keira Buffet possibly during
lunch. We need people to go down there and basically make students aware
that this is about homophobia, and not politics, and to make them aware that
what a few idiots want is not what the majority want. Time hasn't been
confirmed.
5. QUT has donated $200 to our cause. I'd like to confess my undying love for
them, and Alex Main, the spunkiest lesbian rat in the world!
6. The Queer Students Network of NSW has agreed to attend some of our
actions and demonstrations etc. They are also hoping to hold a QSN meeting
in Wollongong in the near future. Stay posted! Yibberta Yibberta!
7. There has also been a donation from the Bega Campus, but we are unsure
how much the donation is. (Somehow?!?)
8. Kobie volunteered to count out our support documents (signatures, faxes of
support etc), and has also volunteered to count and record the defacing of our
petitions.
9. David has volunteered to contact B&G regarding putting up more banners.
Hee hee!
10. People to put banners up: Karlee, J-Dog, Kobie, Rosie.
11. David also volunteered to contact the Good Universities Guide about
putting our award in the booklet. Wish him luck!
12. Karlee, Rocky, Joel and anyone else who ants to help are painting
banners in the Q Space right this minute as I write, and they are good
banners, and good bannerers!
13. We need speakers to take down Gerard Sutton on Thursday. So far we
have Sparki, Annaliese & Sophie (though Sophie doesn't know it yet. Tee
Hee!)
14. Rocky is to speak with Trish & book the SRC PA system for Thursday.
Done.
15. Sparki is to send invitations out to all Deans, sub deans and relevant
admin identities regarding Thursday. Done.
16. Have fun and then try and react it while naked. That is all.

Sparki the stress-rat

Asqy, you obviously aren't a UOW student, because if you were, you'd clearly realise that homophobia is not the issue... but rather select fucktard individuals such as Daniel Brown, Annaliese Constable and Amy Parish who are making problems out of nothing just so they can fight their fight against whatever their fighting... The main issue is people finally cracking the shits of these few people throwing down their 'I'm special because I'm a minority and I'm going to tell you this every time you walk past the duckpond lawn'. I don't hate queers, some of mates are queer. I hate these fucktards who wonder why they aren't accepted by society, its because they're fuckbuckets who just shit everyone with their immature approach and behaviour in everything they do.

Just as many people don't like extremeist right groups (e.g. Bush administration), people don't like extremeist left groups either. It's not homohobia, but as you should know Asqy, most Australians are pretty much down the centre neither too far to the left or too the right. This is just a reflection of that and people's disdain for extremeism and extremeist tactics.

I support a minority standing up for itself, but when UOW has practically every week of the year dedicated to some minority group, and with people such as Annalise being arrested by police, they are obviously missing the point that nobody will ever like them, because of the shit they cause which just negatively impacts on everyone else, only encouraging the resentment (which I admit does exist through the entire society) towards the minority they 'claim' to represent.

Safe space protest ends in eviction
Brendan O'Keefe
September 01, 2004

THREE Wollongong University students campaigning for a safer space for
gays on campus have described as "overkill" an operation by 10 armed
riot police to eject them from a room they had occupied for 47 hours.
The students, the remainder of an original group of 16 who entered a
booked function room on Thursday and locked it down hours later, were
evicted on Saturday afternoon.

Spokeswoman Annaliese Constable told the HES that about 20 officers,
including armed riot squad police, members of the police rescue squad
and regular police officers either burst into the Belmore Room or were
on hand outside to arrest the three.

Ms Constable and two others, Daniel Brown and Dominika Grossy, were
charged with trespass.

A university spokesman said the eviction was a "hygiene issue".

"If it was a hygiene issue, why didn't they send up a bar of soap?" Ms
Constable said.

The students, from the Allsorts gay and lesbian group, had been
campaigning for "a couple of years" with letters to and meetings with
the university for a safe space on campus.

Once inside the Belmore room, the students declared it their space.

Their present room is off-campus and is not patrolled by university
security. It is prone to flooding and rainwater runs down internal
walls near powerpoints.

Earlier this year, a female student was trapped in the queer space by a
man who blocked the door with his bike and threatened to "burn the
woman to death" for being a lesbian, Allsorts said in a statement.

The students want the university to move them on to campus and to
provide security patrols and better health and safety standards.

Mr Brown, queer delegate on the Students Representative Council, said
of the raid: "It was total overkill. We had 10 armed riot police with
helmets and shields burst into the room. I was totally and utterly
speechless and shocked.

"The fact that a peaceful student protest was burst into by 10 riot
police ... we were leaning against the door and getting smashed against
it. The police were totally high on adrenalin and quite aggressive."

Mr Brown said he was frisked twice and that Ms Constable and Ms Grossy
were frisked at Wollongong police station.

Acting vice-president (administration) Chris Grange was unable to
comment in detail because charges were pending.

In a statement, however, he said students "should follow the proper
procedure of raising their concerns through the SRC [to bring] the
relevant issues forward to university management".

The occupation was the culmination of Sexuality Week activities at the
university, during which, Ms Constable said, Allsorts banners were
stolen, torn down and stomped into the dirt and a petition was stolen
and defaced with messages such as "die fags".

Allsorts will tomorrow present vice-chancellor Gerard Sutton with its
award to Wollongong as the "most homophobic university in Australia".

Most homophobic uni in Australia?
Mate, this is fucking weak.

Asqy, none of us have any disposition against homosexuals. We do however have a disposition against extremists. That's what they are. Extremists. So what if they're on the far left, they're still extremists.

You've practically fabricated a negative falsehood that surrounding SantaSlayer's sexy aura. :p
I'm not homophobic, I'm actually rather bothered about Henry Collier's sexual preferences as an individual. Why? Well because he has constantly commented on my perfect physical appearence in a rather disturbing way. LoLz...it's true, I'm not lying...OMFG...LoLz...

Collier, has on three occassions, commented on my good looks....yes, it's true, no bs here...

1)

Collier said:
You are most obviously a personalble young guy with lots going for you … I hope that you can harness your energies and your talents into something that YOU want to do. Again, some students draw the attention of their instructors and you are one of those.

And also....

Collier said:
You are, as I have said, apparently a bright and good looking, active guy. You're observant and capable.

And this...

Collier said:
Yes, you have everything going for you right now, yet good looks will only get you so far in life, you need to work a little and study a little.

The last quote was from my accounting practice set..i have proof...LoLz, the other two were emails...:p

If he thinks you're hot, milk it for all it's worth. Put in extra effort for his classes, when you wish to contest a mark turn up in things that he might get happy seeing you in. If he's in a happy (or horny) mood, he'll mark better.

It works for the girls (some of them turn up in nothing but a towel), why not let a bloke try it (just not in a towel).
