Well pretty much I got this calendar that has one question per day, they range from insanely simple to not so insanely simple, but I'll be posting them here each day just to see how people go, and for some fun.

So I'll go with Feb 6-

√(-3√8.18)=_i

I'm kinda stumped.

I'm with the "wtf?!" crowd above, but I'm hazarding a guess that the _ is what we need to find, so it's more like solve [maths]\sqrt{-3\sqrt{8.18}}=xi[/maths] for [maths]x[/maths]. In which case take the [maths]\sqrt{-1}[/maths] out of the LHS to easily get [maths]x=\sqrt{3\sqrt{8.18}}[/maths].

Could be way off in understanding the question but in any case it's not 3u.

Sorry, my bad. I posted it exactly as it appears on the calendar just incase I were to change it myself and for some reason stuff up the question.

Anyway, later tonight Ill be posting the 7th Feb one. It's a lot easier.

Edit- I was unsure where to put this thread as some range from hard ones like that to quite simple ones.

Feb 7-

Find the minimum point of 9x^2-6x+8=y (Parabola)

See, told you they vary.

Congrats, shinn. I didn't even think of doing it that way. I used the axis of symmetry method.

Check back later tonight for the Feb 8th one.
