I am considering to maybe do bachelor of nursing at UTS to become a mental health/psychiatric nurse.

I realise that nursing will have chemistry components in it. The course does not require chemistry as a prerequisite however it recommends any 2 units of a science subject - and I have done 2 unit biology.

So I am wondering when it comes to chemistry related stuff, is it going to be explained so that someone with a basic knowledge will understand (if it is NOT assumed or required knowledge?)

Also if you have done this course would you say the chemistry parts are difficult? I am not good at it at all.. so I don't know but then again I did not try to understand it in my junior years (I had the attitude of, "if I don't understand something, just ignore it" but not anymore).

Thanks

I don't know anything about the UTS course, however at Usyd, I know that they teach you the basics of chemistry, and that biology will probably be more useful :)

So it should be pretty similar
