Hi, sorry if this has been asked before.

I've read on here that people will think the raw mark for a Band 6 will be about 84. If you manage to pull a Band 6 based on scaling, so say, if you got 95/105, and you're scaled mark was 96%. Does that 96% get scaled up on your ATAR score, or is it only the raw mark that gets scaled?

Sorry, I'm confused. Hope this makes sense?

I think you're getting confused over the distinction between raw marks and scaled marks. I can't really answer your question because I'm confused as to what you're asking. That said, raw marks don't get scaled, they get aligned. Your raw marks are aligned by the Board and your aligned marks which become your final marks you see on your HSC certificate are scaled by UAC during the calculation of your ATAR.

I hope that helps?

Do we get our HSC mark and ATAR mark separately?

Yep. Your HSC marks are the aligned marks you get from the Board of Studies, eg. 94 in chem, etc.
Your atar is calculated by UAC, which used the BOS data to rank everyone. HSC marks are out on the 14th Dec, ATAR on the 15th of Dec
