what would be my estimate uai if i was ranked in the top 20-30% (say like.. 30th/160) of students in my school (sydney tech) in each of my subs.. ( ext 2 eng, ext 1 maths, eco, phys, chem, phys )..

i was just wondering.. because i really need to improve ._. ( looks for motivation )

It;s very difficult to say where you'd rank in the state because different schools have students of varying abilities. If you go to a selective school and are ranked in the top 30%, you're probably still going to do well.

Nonetheless:
A UAI of around 87.5 = top 20% of the state
A UAI of just above 80 = top 30%

But remember, your percentiles at school are no indication of how you will compare with the rest of NSW.
