do we need to define/explain the terminology we use in short responses (2-3 markers)?
if a question is worth two marks and your answer already covers two relevant points do we still need to clarify what certain words in our response mean?

e.g. can we just write "antibodies are produced by..." or do we have to define it like "antibodies, specialised proteins which bind to pathogens (disease-causing agents), are produced by..."

i get that this is needed for long response qs, but to do the same thing in 2-3markers feels like such a trek and i always just end up in a neverending spiral of needing to define words that are in my definitions of other words 💀

I literally use dot points for questions 1-5 marks. This is not English, and trust me writing like the answer you gave after your straight forward one will only end in making a pointless essay that probably does not answer the question directly, I learnt that the hard way.

Then again, I'm not the most qualified person to answer such questions, but I encountered marks below 50's in topic tests because I answered science questions with pointless vocab, essay structure, etc.
