Lmao yhtypo???
determine the value of k???
no i think the punctuation is wrongLmao yh
currently trying to decode the last sentence of the questionwhat was the answer?
No k has solutionsno i think the punctuation is wrong
i think they want k to have no real solutions
I dont want to post the answers just yet (obviously the teacher gave answers but as i said its too complicated surely theres an easier way)what was the answer?
the x makes it uglyy ughh
i'm so confused how can k have to real solution but have a solution (i don't think i've done this in school T-T)No k has solutions
so towards the end apparently it should be
(system of equations that contains k) = no real solution
gotta go dinnerNope i couldnt solve it
I tried doing that in my exam but it didnt work for me (i think thats why i got 1 mark bc i knew one step out of three)theres a hint in the question: they tell u that they're linear equations.
usually 2 linear equations (aka lines) intersect once - 1 solution
but to get 0 real solutions they must thus not intersect at all i.e. they are parallel lines with different y intercepts
so just rearrange the equations into gradient intercept form and equate the gradients
