i got a history extension exam comin up and its on "what is history", where u got to know 3 different sources and they give u the question in class.

I was wondering, wat are the main points when anaylsing different sources. I know some which are use quotes to back up arguments, tone, motif, purpose, language. Wat else?

For history extension, tone, motif and language aren't as important as aims, purposes and methodology. This isn't so much a matter of analyzing sources, as it is constructing arguments or discussing the various opinions of historians as to what history is all about and how we should write/research history. So yeah, finding decent quotes from your sources is what you should do, not analyze language techniques.
