do i also need to keep either mod or ancient history as a subject also?

or is it just ext history and no need to do mod or ancient history

i know its probally a little too early to be thinking about it. but i guess im just sussing out my options early so i can make the right decision when the time is right

i'm pretty sure you have to keep either mod or ancient.. whichever one you are doing now to do ext *wants to be double checked*

weird if you can do an extension when there's nothing to extend in the first place :)

Yes you need to have done at least 2 Units of History in the Preliminary Course. The HSC booklet my school gave out last year told me so. :)

Yes^

In case you didnt know:
Modern History = 2units
Ancient History = 2units
History Extension = 1unit.

You have to either do modern history or ancient history to do extension history in yr 12 or you can do both modern & ancient history and do extension history aswell.

If you want to pick up history extension, why wouldn't you want to keep your other history subjects? And no, you have to do at least one of them.
