I went out clubbin for the first time on fri, since i only turned 18 recently, and i was at the bar by myself buying a drink and this older guy prob nearly 30 came up to me and asked me if i wanted to dance, i didnt want to dance then, plus he was a bit too old, so i said no thanks then he said come on just come and dance after u get a drink, and i nicely said no again, and he was still persistant in asking so i just said mabye later, then he told me where he would be.
how do you politely reject someones offer?and what do u do if they dont take no for a answer? just walk off?
myfriends were sitting down so they couldnt drag me away
That was a pretty good way to handle it, just say no, if they're persistant, just say maybe later, because most people in any club, especially some of the more packed ones like Sublime, Icebox, SOS and the like, theres a chance you won't see him ever again after he walks off after telling him a 'maybe later' or 'just not right now'.

Or just tell him to fuck off. Another decent way is if you're going out with a few guys within your group, just organise beforehand for them to be your boyfriend if you need them to be.. it gives an escape route for them. "Thanks, but no, I'm with him". Thats what all my friends do when we go out together...

Too true funniboi. You other guys are going about it all the wrong way. How the game works is you squeeze as many expensive drinks out of him as possible, drinks you'd never buy yourself on your uni student budget, and then say it's been great but you're going over there now. And then do it. He'll be too embarrassed to bother you again if you do it right, and if he isn't just go and get the friendly-looking Samoan cement-truck who checked your ID at the door to escort the dude elsewhere. Or just knee him in the groin. Whatever.
