Im not sure about this. I kinda want to do ext 2. You know how the HSC is calculated half assessments half HSC exam, and how do u ext 2 exams when maths 2unit is on, if u wanted to drop down to 3unit in term 3, how would they get assessments for 2 unit?

If you're doing 4u and you're not sure that you want to keep it, you should do all the 2u assessments. They only reason that you should not do them is if you're DEFINATELY keeping ext 2.
Your maths teacher should be able to arrange things so you can do the 2u exam as well as the ext 2 one.
My class has always had the option of doing the 2u paper if we wanted to.

our class only let is do the 2u exam for the first term the 4unit classes started. After that the 2u and 4u exams were always held concurrently

Thats what Im worried about, becuase on most exam timetables maths ext2/maths 2U are on the same time

Really? My teacher was forever trying to convince us to do the 2U exams!

yeap, i tried to do a 2u exam last term once for fun and the teacher didn't let me, she juz sent us to da library wen the others are doing 2u exam

lol, wow! That's odd! Wouldn't it be sensible to let you do as much exam practise as you can? We need to know the 2U stuff anyway, in case harder questions come up in 3U

Our 4U exams are always scheduled during the 2U.

same, i haven't done a 2u exam yet because they're on at the same time. if you drop back to ext 1 they'd probably compare you with similar people to you and estimate marks.
