If a spaceship weighs 18000N on the surface of the Earth and 2000N on the surface of planet X, which of the following is true for planet X?

a) The mass and radius of planet X are twice as big as the mass and radius of the Earth.

b)planet X has the same mass as the earth and a radius ta is three times larger than the Earth's radius

c)Planet X has the same radius as the earth and a mass that is three times larger than the Earth's mass

planet X certianly has a smaller gravitational acceleration
for a higher gravitational accleration the mass increases
lower gravitational acceleration radius increases
hence b) is the answer

his answer sounds very fishy to me :)

have a look at the formula and work it out for yourself by seeing wat happens wen u triple the donminator, double the numerator etc

g = Gm/r² = 18000

2000 = Gm/3² = 18000

hence, b
