Please (*) next to the following:
1. Age: 16-25*
26-35
36-45

2. Gender:
Male* or Female

3. In what decade do you believe was the most influential for women’s fashion and state your reasons.

1920s - the establishment of many modern haute couture houses such as Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton.

Close second would be 1950s. Givenchy's black dress for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's is the icon of simple sophistication.

4. Do you know of any acts in history, such as women’s rights or WW1 that may have changed a fashion style in Australia?

Affirmative Action (Equal Opportunity for Women) Act 1986
Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cwlth)
Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 (Cwlth)

5. What do you think are the causes of fashion trends and changes?

As a reaction to previous trends, or for something new.

6. Why do you believe that humans have such a fascination with fashion?

There's an intrinsic need for social power - one way to gain it is by looking good.

7. Do women choose there clothing to either sexually attract men or to impress other women? State your views

Neither. Most women I know claim to choose their clothing to appease themselves.

8. What attitudes and views do you believe have changed the perceptions that people have on clothing?

Nothing has changed.

9. Have any perceptions/attitudes continued throughout the 20th century? If so, what are they.

wtf... perceptions of what?

Well you need clothes in case you get charged for indecent exposure.
