I have a heap of questions and confusing things in my head, so this post may not make 100% sense.
What is the difference of wanting to acheive a UAI or a HSC then go onto TAFE learning options?
The reason why i am asking is because i am confused of what is the difference and also because i am thinking of doing a TAFE course for my Yr 12 subjects (or units?), as a second option if i dont get into doing the traineeship that i am pationate about doing, or if my careers advisor says that it would be better for my to finish my schooling and then see about a trainneeship, i dont know, at this moment, everything i have said are my options at the moment, so i dont know what would be better, TAFE or Uni, so that is why i am asking about the difference of acheiving a UAI or HSC cause at the moment i am not a 100% sure of what i want to do with my life.
I am confused about what i want to do in my life, or where i want to go, so i was writing this sentence, to ask, does anyone know about any internet sites that could ask me questions etc that i could answer to gain some more understanding of what path i would want to take/should take with my life?
Is a HSC just something that you need to get into TAFE or the job that you would like to get into? If yes, does a UAI count and can you just get a HSC mark (s) by itself?
I am confused with what all of my options are, because i have a disability and most of the things that people may take for granted, are alot harder for me to do/acheive etc. So that is also a reason why i was asking these questions, because simply, does a person with a disability have the same rights as everyone else who applys for Uni/TAFE/jobs?
I also understand, that not all of these questions that i am asking may be allowed or approperiate for this website.
Also, i dont know if this is relavant, but my school careers advisor can be a bitch sometimes, and i feel that i want to go for a traineeship at the local council for next year, but i have to apply for work expeirence etc (resumes, etc) this year, before third term. My careers advisor doesnt think that my skills are "up to scratch" (thats what she basically said last year, when i didnt get the trainneeship thhen) but now, i am wondering, what does this mean though? Does that mean i cant go back for work expierence at the council? That i have to give up on wanting to be in local government etc
I also feel with all of these types of questions, its like i feel that i cant talk to just anyone about it, if that makes any sense because i dont have many friends at school and i feel that my school careers advisor doesnt understand my restrictions/problems that i encounter cause of having a disability.
