Hey, ive got this question on my chem hw that seems weird. Its not like a really hard question or anythin but my answer is huge. Wondering if any1 else gets the same as me.
Question- The overall process for the production of metallic copper from Chalcopyrite is summarised by the following-
2CuFeS2 (s) + 5O2 (g) + 2SiO2 (s) TO 2Cu (l) + 4So2 (g) + 2FeSiO3 (l)
-Calculate the mass of copper which could be extracted from 1 tonne (1000kg) of pure Chalcopyrite.
Using mole theory i end up getting 346245.82 g of Cu being extracted. Anyone else get this? I may have screwed up, theres no solutions.
