If it says "Excluded : MATH1131... " in the course description for ECON1202... does that mean if i qualify for ECON1202 if i do MATH1131?

And will i be able to do a course which has ECON1202 as a prerequisite (if i do MATH1131)?

TIA

It means if you enrol in MATH1131 you don't have to do ECON1202

I don't think you do.

Basically instead of doing econ1202 you do math1131/1141. So once you pass the maths subject you are eligible to enrol in classes with econ1202 as a prereq.

Not sure if it is automatic, but I am sure they will let your through after a chat.

You might* have some problems with ICAA/ASCPA though, if you intend to acquire accounting credentials, although many of my friends steered through that

I got the same problem when I was enrolling ECON2104 - Applied Macroeconomics. It said "Excluded by ECON2111, passed in Sem2 2006"...........

Well, if ECON2101 excludes ECON2111, then once you have done 2111, you cannot do 2101. They probbly teach you similar stuff??

if u do math1131 u dont have to do QMA, if ur then enrolling 4 QMB later on it'l say u need to do QMA. thats when u contact them and tlel them that u wanna be enroled in QMB as u have done 1131

now for the CA/CPA thingy, in these links http://www.charteredaccountants.com.au/files/documents/2005_ATC_List.pdf
http://www.cpacareers.com.au/study_options/acc_course_details.asp?CourseId=1290
(thanx to konstantine' for those links)
it doesnt state u need to do ECON1202, just ECON1203 (QMB i think)

so u can replace QMA with math1131 n then take QMB and still get CA

hope ive helpd
