discuss changing employment relations

is that tied too management theories (ie. when you explain how hierarichal leaves employees bored etc..)

or is it something totally different?

I think Casmira you're referring to management and change however the question tends to lean towards ER, so I'd agree with natstar --> changing natutre of work, i.e. more women in the workforce, EEO, anti-discrimation act etc. etc. etc.

so basically, yes, it's something totally different :)

Good luck in the HSC, remember the syllabus is your friend and so is your teacher and so is the textbook :D

Official syllabus
http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/pdf_doc/businessstudies_syl.pdf

States on page 17
The_Syllabus said:
employment relations
• the role of employment relations
• the human resource cycle
– acquisition — identifying staffing needs, recruitment, selection
– development — training, development and maintenance of databases
– maintenance — monetary/non monetary benefits
– separation — voluntary/involuntary
• rights and responsibilities
– labour contract
– Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
– Anti-Discrimination
– Affirmative Action
– Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
Now go write a paragraph on each line.

I agree with the syllabus and textbook but not the teacher . He's out half the time leaving up to us to just summarise and "if we have any questions we ask him". And he's a monotone, for gods' sake I dunno how he became head!

i didnt say it could be internal, external, social etc.. i just referred straight too the stimulus and said "because business a is heirarichal and business b is flat management they found it hard too merge into a heirarchical structure . . ."

i think im screwed :( see i perform bad in business, but i keep getting back up and wanting too try again

Yeah, the best thing to do is to analyse your paper, see what you got wrong, and look it up in the textbook and practise the questions until you know it off by heart. Vow to never make the same mistakes again.
