quick question on data types (1 Viewer)

Hey guys a quick question, is a string a simple data type or a structured because i have two textbooks (Excel and Wilson) and Excel says that it is a structured whereas Wilson says its a simple. Thanks in advance

I would consider a string a structure, since most of the time strings are represented internally as an array of characters.
