how do i register for the labs?
and it says TUTORIAL- and then gives a few options, and then a compulsory tute (tues-3-5) i registered for the compulsory, and now it wont let me register for the others?

Well if its compulsary you obviously don't have to register for it, everyone has to just go (just like the lectures).

in the 'compulsory' one that i reg. for, it says they've only got 15 places..

a computer lab is just something extra- instead of going to a tute at that time, your in a pc lab. So technically you're enrolled in the tute, but for a certain week (ie- wk 3,5,9) you're going to be in a computer lab rather than your normal tutorial class

does that make sense?!

well thats how i interpreted it, cos for me i also have a pc lab for 1 subject, and its only for 1 week. so as long as im enrolled in the tutorial, im enrolled in the lab. Instead of attenting my regular tute, i just go to the labs for that time (eg, i have foundation studies tute at 12-2, but in week 2 i attend a pc lab in RW2-04 rather than my normal class

hope that made abit of sense......

i think they just substitute labs for various tute classes

15 in total in that one...im the only one in it so far
a couple of the other ones have people in them, their also 15 in total each

i'd stay in it, even if it is a compulsory class. if you're in you're in, so yeah just to be safe stay in there. if u dont have to be then it doesnt realy matter

i just rang the uni
stupid 'wording error' apparently, its not compulsory, but im happy with that timeslot, it suits me well
good thing i rang them, im now only there 15 hrs a week instead of 19!!

i dont have to register for the lecture, and i only had to register for one tutorial (which is substituted with a lab)

yeah i thought that was what would happen. cos the same happened to me, i couldnt find info anywhere telling me how to register for pc labs! then i figured it was just a tute substitute
