RAM compatibility ... (1 Viewer)

I found this cool site which, when given your motherboard type, tells you the RAM upgrades that are compatiple. This is my system:

Can anyone tell me why, though it clearly says "DDR SDRAM Frequencies: PC1600 and PC2100" and that the page "lists only the upgrades that are guaranteed compatible with your Giga-Byte GA-7DXE", it gives options such as "DDR PC3200 .. " etc?

DDR PC3200 is cheaper than DDR PC2100, so if its true I will be very happy. But I dont want to get something non-combaitble...

PC3200 and other things like these are the frequency/speed ratings. If put a module in capable of a higher frequency than your motherboard can provide, then that module will just operate at a lower speed.
