Rampage through the West Bank after Jewish boy stabbed (1 Viewer)

SCORES of Jewish settlers rampaged through the West Bank on the weekend after a nine-year-old Jewish boy was stabbed by a Palestinian intruder.

A Palestinian youth was killed and eight Palestinians were injured in the attacks.

The violence erupted after a Palestinian man infiltrated the Jewish settlement of Shalhevet Yam, which is within the West Bank near the city of Nablus and is classified as an illegal outpost under Israeli law.

About 6.30am on Saturday the man entered the mobile home of a settler family and, finding it empty, set fire to it. He then tried to enter another mobile home, where he encountered a Jewish boy, Tuviya Schtatman, and stabbed him several times in the back and one of his hands.

The boy was taken to the Schneider Children's Medical Centre in Petach Tikva. A spokesman for the centre said he had suffered light injuries.

About two hours after the boy was attacked, dozens of Jewish settlers from the nearby village of Yitzhar, some armed with automatic weapons, stormed Palestinian homes in the village of Asira al-Kabaliya.

For about three hours the mob vandalised Palestinian property. Civilians were shot at and beaten up before Israeli Defence Force soldiers intervened, using tear gas and rubber bullets to end the violence.

Military officials said it was not the first time the settlers had harassed the neighbouring villagers and that several times in the past month a Star of David had been painted in the village.

"I have never seen that kind of behaviour," Hani Abed Alraouf, a villager, told the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

"The worst is that the army collaborated with the settlers."

The soldiers reportedly broke into the home of Kassem Salah, and arrested him while settlers entered his courtyard, threw stones, beat women and rolled his car down into a ravine.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, said: "This phenomenon of taking the law into their own hands and of brutal and violent attacks is intolerable and will receive the strictest and most severe treatment. There will be no pogroms against non-Jewish residents in the state of Israel."

Last week Jewish settlers in the West Bank broke the arm of an Israeli Defence Force deputy battalion commander in an attack at the outpost of Yad Yair.

Despite what the Israeli govt say, this is how they behave as well, so its no surprise that the extremist imperialist settlers behave the same way. it appears the old Jewish belief about "eye for an eye" has been replaced with "poke out our eye and we'll obliterate you".
Take this for example: one Isaraeli with light injuries somehow gets a retaliation of 8 injured and one dead. Another example (from the govt i think) was attacking Lebanon because something like 2 israeli soldiers were captured - bloody ridiculuos.

I have nothing against the Jewish Religion, but Israel is not a good country, it takes things way too far, and was founded essentially by stealing Palestinian land.
