heya...

while ive found the S.A.M pretty good for a rough indication, it can really only tell us half the story, because 50% of our marks will come from our school assessment rankings...

therefore, i was just wondering, is there anyway you could somehow put in a Rankings submission as well, so we can put in our anticipated marks AND rankings, to get a better idea of what our UAI may look like??

i realise this may take some time to do, so even if its for the benefit of next years HSC students, it would be really cool.

Thanks :)

The marks you enter are meant to be HSC aligned marks.
As kadlil mentioned, use the moderating prototype to compare school assessment marks or ranks.
Since, you won't know exactly what your total HSC aligned marks are until the day you see your results, you can be like many others who just enter school assessment marks or rough estimates. The traffic on the Student Assessment Modeller soars on that day.

On a side note, I am really doubting that the program would be updated on time since the site administrator is always busy.

Well, you can just plug in hypothetical aligned marks for each of your subjects and it will spit out a UAI for you. Give it a try...it's a very user-friendly program.

What would I get approx. ?

So far in all my subjects i've got in high 80s and 90s excet for maths which i have failed really badly. With art and eng ext 2 out of the way, ive now got just over a month to study properly for maths - Just want to know, say I did really good in the HSC, what are my chances of getting a good UAI - an estimation would be nice...

What r u ranked in all ur subjects...?

Ur getting 80's and 90's for everything except maths...

well... since i know ur rank for maths... If u go good in the final HSC exam u still have a good chance of doing well in maths.. ur internal will be pushed up...

the only probelm is.. u gotta hope those who are ranked above u actually perform well...if they don't ur internal would most likely still be bad..

nevertheless... ur exam mark remains urs... so for example.. say ur moderateed internal mark is something like 50%... and ur external is like 70%.. ur final mark will be 60%... (just an example)... 70%... is not affected by ur ranking... because u earned it in the exam...

I'll let someone else give u an estimation.. but i preffer to use sam..

also compare urself to others from last yr from the school which u attend..

for example.. legal studies...

what was the highest internal mark?
what was the highest external mark?.... what was the highest final HSC mark?

although last yr was a shocker lol... but newyas...

it's hard to give u an estimate if u don't tell us ur rankings...

by the way our school was ranked 324 last yr...

once again i remind u... "Shocking yr".....

I feel like im just repeating myself so.... i'll just end this post here and hope my post actually made sense...lol...

EDIT: knock ur exams flat... and u could be looking at a 90+... im pritty sure ur rankings are good... nevertheless... judging by UAI's obtained by studnets at our school who've done subjects similar to urs.. i say u could be looking at an 80+ without question... ur probably looking for something higher.... but that's just a minimum.
