the music that rappers like common make is usually referred to as 'hip hop'

the music that rappers like chingy, ja rule, eminem, 50 cent make is usually referred to as 'rap'

so i use these terms as an easy way of differentiating them....its a stupid argument so stop it.

I was actally meaning if any one knew the diff genres like Gansta Rap, like NWA, Dr Dre, Ice Cube. If u take a look at this Metal site you will see what i meant about a site that does genres for rap Metal-Archives

Dirty south- Outkast, Mystikal, Juvenile, triple 6 mafia

West coast rap- Cypress Hill, Ice-t, Digital Underground

Most artists can be put into different genres e.g
2pac- gansta, west coast

crunk and dirty south mx most of the time.....8Ball & MJG can make ;crunk' stuff without the help of lil' jon (eg 'you dont want no drama' 'forever' 'dont make') 3 6 mafia have been too 'tear da club up' is very 'crunk' and they made that long before lil' jon came on the scene.


glad you mentioned mystikal...love that guy.....to bad he raped his hairdresser and got sent to jail hahaha.
