Aim: To determine the combination of factors which facilitate rusiting

ok i designed an experiment and chose a variety of environments to place two different types of screws in (mild and stainless steel)

I am having trouble choosing a control for this experiment.....which one of the above environments would be the control??? I previously chose Air (oxygen) as my control and the teacher said that was wrong plz help

I guess Dry air would be the control... Although it would be better if one can exclude oxygen (immensing the nails in oil or something like that)
