did you listen at all this year?

the modules heading is pretty self explanitory, the whole topic is about effects of institutions on indivduals

negative/positive
past experiences
authority figures/power struggle
love/lust
responsibility
thats just some..

theres alot of stuff you can mention, read some of the essays from the resources pages and you'll get some idea. If you read the book it shouldnt be to hard to go through find those themes and qoutes.

add to this list

change, rehabilitation, role models, correct and incorrect use of power by those in positions of power....

to really get into this module try looking at Different Institutions and their purpose, identify an individual in such institutions and look at text that describe such individuals...that will find you a Text of your own choosing (TOYOC)

though at this time its a little late now theres only 3 days

uses imagery frog = small helpless creature who is robbie
pigs = cops

shakespearen cliche with the changing weather for Brett's changing mood might not have noticed that one.

u also go the contrast of characters, and how brett, josh and tyson represent the effects of the institution
eg: brett - reforms,
josh - becomes instituionalised
tyson - never changes

Hey,
Can someone help me with this question.

Write a feature article for inclusion in a literary magazine aimed at first year iniversity students entitled Protest and Compliance. In your feature article, highligh how features of your prescribed text (RAW) reveal individual attitudes to institutions.
Refer to the experience of at least three characters featured in your prescribed text.

(How does scott monk use techniques to reveal individual attitudes to institutions)

Please email response to roosters_1988@hotmail.com
ANY HELP IS GREAT!
Thank you
