Well, I've noticed that noone has posted an estimate thread yet.
So please post:
Raw estimate:___ /100

My estimate:
Raw estimate: 90+/100
Highest 95+. Lowest 85+.

Hmm, well I'm hoping for 90+, but my encapsulation answer (language option topic) was a bit dodgy, and some of my multiple choice answers were probably wrong - made one glaring stupid mistake with the BNF I'm hitting myself on the head over - digit doesn't include a 3, stupid girl!

i hope your aware that last yr - getting a raw of about 90 would put u in the top 10 list... and a hsc mark of about 95.

so only about 10 (say this test was easy max 20ppl) will get 90 or over as raw.
You can't count a raw mark for a subject like this.. its only really possible for maths (and i guess sciences u can do some sort of estimation).

Yes but you're not taking into account the difficulty of the exam. Also I'd like to know where you are quotting those figures from. Max 20ppl will get above 90? I disagree. I think that a lot more people will get above 90 raw.

haboozin is correct. 90+ raw is top 20 material. Last year 88 aligned to 94. 96 was 9th in the state.

I'm not convinced. How do you know that 96 was 9th?
Also these change every year, and as we know it's always hard to estimate.

Because that guy went to my school last year. They dont change by much. Software exams dont have the variability in difficulty that maths exams may have.

Pretty confident that this years exam will have a higher average raw mark, it was very layed out, mark for this mark for that etc..

I hoping for 90 raw but expected this during cssa trials and only got 81..

even lower..

ivan got 7th in the state with a mark of only 95.
Which would be about 90 raw.

there was like 5 ppl on equal 2nd.
so they would have got 97... 1 person got 96 and obviously 1 on 98.

Hahaha! That's absolute gold.

I guess it just goes to show how much bullshit people make up.
