what would a mark of 50-60/84 in the hsc equate to as a hsc mark?

in general and more specifically in the 2004 paper

get that mark in this yrs HSC and maybe u can tell us when u get ur results!!!

in 2004.... something between 38-44/50

I just hope they make question 6 and 7 killer questions... because thats where i lose all my marks anywas...the harder the exam (also in comparison with past HSC exams) the lower the band 6 cut off...
I hope they make the probability and circle geometry easier!! As that's where I probably won't get any marks if they are hard:)

im hoping to get my average up to about 68-70/84 by the time the exam comes up. i got about 18 years of past hsc and about 40 others papers from various sources. hopefully they'll help, as i dont plan to "study" ME1.

so any of the 2004ers want to estimate?

i hate circle geometry
cant believe i got it right in the CSSA trial exam
i hope they put more application of calculus, ie rates of change SHM and projectile
and less binomial theorem
then were on our way to a band E4!!

lol... i hope to beat 1/12 for question 7, i still havnt done 2004, i did 2001, 2002 and half of 2003, im averaging about 45-50/84, but i was relying on what i remebered i havnt really sat down and studied 3 unit, i probably won't.. past papers is good enough!!!

probability...hehe...ummm... for the trial CSSA there was a 4 mark proabailty questoion, i put the same solution down for both and ended up getting 2/4... (i got one of em right)....

Circle Geometry is my strong point... I hope they put as much circle geo as there are further applictaions questions in previous yrs... hehe

75/84 raw mark was an aligned mark of 48/50 in 2004. 50-60/84 would probably have been a band E3 in 2004.

lol, i did that too, but with different methods, i just freaked out because i sucked at probability so much, so i ended up with the same answer for both, i just left it, because i figured i could at least get 2/4, and i did!!!

thats actually the only right fact we know and its correct.

It was acmillan's mark.

Anyways,

50-60/84 would definatly be a band 5 i would think.

wouldn't these marks get scaled... so 48/50 could have been 95/100 or 96/100 so he could have been on the lower end of 48 (not saying your bad acmilan :p)

oh and also, a senior marker came to our school and we asked what could we expect to get raw to get a band E4 and she said 68-70.

Its 58-62/84 for band 6. Otherwise we wouldnt have 90 band 6's for 3u every year.

assuming your paper wasn't modified in any way and your paper is marked according to the given guidelines PROPERLY (some teachers follow it but still dun do it properly...) , and u didn't get any replacement questions...

w\ 75\84 u probably get about 96?
But i'm only guessing
hehe
