hey guys.. my first post hehe
do you know where i can find some info on what raw marks end up scaling to in terms of moderated marks? I mean if you get a mark of say... 80/100 in the physics paper, what'll that get you as a moderated HSC mark? I guess it depends on the paper and the other students that are taking it but if there's anything out there that's going to help calculate that for me, then it'd be great.
thanks =D

If you get a raw mark of 80/100 on a particular subject (in your case Physics), a process done by the Board of Studies aligns that mark so as to classify you into a band group that denotes achievements learnt from the course. It makes your mark comparable between different HSC years.

This alignment process is carried out afresh each year so it's impossible to estimate with accuracy your moderated mark. Though generally moderated marks are higher than raw marks.
