There is a huge range of related texts you can use.

I used Girl, Interrupted which is a book-come-movie about a young woman in a mental institution.

A few people in my school used Stick It which I've never heard of. Apparently it's a movie.

If you're adventuresome, Clockwork Orange is a good one, as long as you're comfortable with the somewhat morbid.

Jarhead is a decent choice if you focus on the army as an institution.

Remember that you don't have to use a mental institution as the actual institution, as schools, clubs, army, etc also count.

Metallica's song Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is also a pretty neat option, as long as you like Metallica. [Don't murder it. Or I'll find out somehow, and hunt you down]
