A and B represent the reactions and D represents the product of a reaction.
Step 1: A + C -> AC
Step 2: B+AC->ABC
Step 3: ABC->CD
Step 4: CD->C+D

Identify ABC

Explain the role of C in the reaction described by the four steps above. As part of your explanation, describe the importance of ABC.

I am pretty sure C is a catalyst as it is not consumed but i don't know what ABC is

yes C is a catalyst ABC represents what we call an intermediate (a component that is involved in the formation of the products but doesn't appear in the overall equation)
