going to the reactor at lucas heights for an excursion.
i have an assignment on nuclear reactors.
any body even doing this topic yet??

yeah i did this option last year - the teacher was planning to take us to the reactor for an excursion as well, but they wouldnt let us go for some reason

anyway, what info do you need?

Our school did that last year. Some of it's incredibly boring, other parts incredibly interesting.

Fission reaction - well you have controlled and uncontrolled fission. Basically when there's a controlled reaction, as in the case of nuclear reactors, you have a chain reaction going, where atoms are bombarded with neutrons, giving off multiple neutrons and different elements.
