my teacher suggested that i do some more reading out side of class to improve my english skills or whatever... normally i'd just ignore something like this, but as this is my HSC i thought i'd better have a try...
so can anyone recommend a good book? im into anything really just as long as its got a good story line? i'm asking because whenever i pick a book it ends up being utter shit, so yeh :)

Look up a list of classic texts. Reading them will not only improve your English, but your general knowledge as well.

Try and find a genre that you're really into and maybe start with a very well known author (although I prefer the randoms that no-one has heard of and end up with close to one-hit wonders).
