Reason for no offer? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I'm currently studying exercise sport science at Usyd and applied for the undergrad physio course after a year. I was told by many people, including one of the physio lecturers and also student central that if i scored a distinction average, I would essentially be accepted.

I comfortably scored a distinction average over 2 semesters and did not receive an offer.

What is the likely reason?

Physio has become progressively competitive over the past years - perhaps that may be a factor

I knew a friend who met the ATAR cutoff for Physio but did not get offered a place. I am just guessing, but it could be that the university has set quotas for certain courses.
