currently i have narrowed it down to 3 choices:

1. siliding doors
2. Pleasant ville
3. american history x

some other suggestions would be helpful, i am currently doing sky high, 2 or 3 of skrynecki and "12 angry men" by reginald rose. i did tape one of the dead zone eposides, which was uncannyly paralelling 12 angry men. but that might be too similar. another source of changing perspective films is from the outer limits. thats always good. does anyone else have any good film suggestions?

Pleasantville is a good one, I've heard.. going on techniques anyway!

It's also useful if you do extension 1.

You also need some differences... two texts which are similar are great, except that there's not much you can say about them other than what natstar just said (in this text they're x and in this text they're y; problem is the same; context is slightly altered).

That's why it's unwise to use Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep as a basis of comparison for BR (not that you need additional texts, but anyway..)

Last year our teacher suggested:

The Joy Luck Club
Looking For Alibrandi
Remember the Titans
The Wog Boy (but she said you gotta be real careful with this one cos its too "popular culture" or sumtin)
The Truman Show
Pleasantsville
American History X
Lantana

I ended up using the novel "Looking For Alibrandi". I hate analysing films! Yukky!!
