Just for interest....
When the BOS aligns the mark and "takes into account the relative differences in marks between students", are they comparing the students' internal assessment marks out of 100 (after all the weightings have been taken care of), or the difference in marks on each individual exam.

Maybe an example would help me explain:
If an exam were out of 50, but had a weighting of 10%:
One person got 100% (50/50) i.e. 10/10
Another person got 90% (45/50) i.e. 9/10

Would the BOS look at the relatively small 1 mark difference (after weightings have been accounted for), or the large 5 mark difference in the actual exam marks?

What they look at is the total mark of your school internal assessment, they do not look at individual performance in tasks.

Even if the Board looked at the marks for individual tasks, no distinction would be made between those two differences. Both accurately describe the difference between those students relative to all other students in that class.
