go to a bookshop and have a look then make your choice.....maybe your libarary has it/can buy to save you $60..if you are doing 1 unit, I wouldnt buy LR as a supplementry book if you have 2 already as you will only use it for 3 units of workkaren.koltrane said:I'm using New Studies In Religion by Terence Lovat & John MacGrath but I find that it's not very good...I've also got the Macq study guide....should I also get the Living Religion text book or will I be ok without it?
(I plan to buy the said textbook off someone from BOS so hopefully it won't be too pricey...)
Because, as religion is one of our core subjects and the school harps on about our classes, we should have good resourcessnapperhead said:@ Jade...I agree that its a bad book but whats going to a Catholic School got to do with it? They probably chose it as its the least expensive of the three thatr cover 11 and 12!
Even in Catholic schools, religion as a subject wouldnt receive any more funding than any other subject. Perhaps your school may have a religious department (like my school had) that organises prayer services, masses etc. and maybe thats why it seems to focus on religion.0Jade0 said:Because, as religion is one of our core subjects and the school harps on about our classes, we should have good resources

and yes we all went and got the syllabus ourselves

If its typed for the 2 unit course then you can use it for the 1 unit course as all the 1 unit topics are also done in the 2 unit course.dani_danoz said:well anyway, back to the topic lol...
I like the Macquarie texts the best. But (I could be getting mixed up here) they're typed for the 2 unit course, I do 1 unit, so yeah.
I haven't looked at Excel much, but the Revise in a month seems okay, but we'll see what it's like post-trial HSC....
