What is rep?
Rep is a system designed to show the overall helpfulness of a particular poster. If you are helped by someone, or you see a helpful post, it's a good idea to rep it.
How can I rep someone?
Click the scales located at the bottom of their user information box appearing to the left of all posts.
How can I see how much rep someone has?
The small boxes under each users username indicate how much rep they have.
1 Box = 0-99
2 Boxes = 100-199
3 Boxes = 200-299
4 Boxes = 300-399
5 Boxes = 400-499
6 Boxes = 500-699
7 Boxes = 700-899
8 Boxes = 900-1099
9 Boxes = 1100-1299
10 Boxes = 1300-1499
11 Boxes = 1500- ?
What are the different titles I can get as I get more and more rep?
The titles, in order of points required to get them, are:
- is on a distinguished road (starting level)
- will become famous soon enough (50)
- has a spectacular aura about (150)
- is a jewel in the rough (250)
- is just really nice (350)
- is a glorious beacon of light (450)
- is a name known to all
- is a splendid one to behold
- has much to be proud of
- has a brilliant future
- has a reputation beyond repute
How can I check my own rep/comments?
Click the link to your usercp located in the top left hand corner of the page.
Why does it say I must spread some rep around before repping xxxxxx again?
You must rep 19 other people before repping that person again.
Why am I told that I've given out too much rep in the last 24 hours?
You can rep a maximum of 10 people each day.
What is rep begging/swapping/trading?
Basically any post/pm asking for rep is frowned upon, and this can result in you being neg repped by the moderators, as can persistant flaming etc.
Why do I have 10 pts, I haven't been repped by anyone yet?
Everyone starts out on 10pts.
Why is my rep worth nothing?
Because you must have 50 posts to be able to give out rep.
How can I give more rep?
Every 100 rep pts, and every 1000 posts you can give out one more rep point.
Can I get custom status if I have enough rep?
Yes, when you reach 125 rep points you get custom status.
I got a grey box, does that mean I've been neg repped?
No, neg reps are red. It means that the person who reps you doesn't have enough posts to give positive green rep, and so this rep does nothing to your overall points tally.
I got neg repped by a moderator, but don't know why, what do I do?
Contact the moderator in question via PM if you're really that curious, but don't be abusive.
