heyy! When you get your results in the papers, is it the HSC bands that determine your name in the paper? Or is it your overall mark that gets you into the paper? Also, for the premiers award, is it all 90s in the HSC or all 90s in total examination (school and hsc mark) together (10 units that is) thankz ppl1

Well according to this letter I got, there is 4 fields for each subject.

Examination Mark (get on the 19th of dec)
Assesment Mark (get this on the 15th of nov by loggin into studentsonline)
HSC mark (calculate this yourself I think)
Performance Band (yeh idk)

Nope you don't calculate the HSC mark yourself it appears on your paper. Effectively you get your assessment mark (out of 100) hsc exam mark (out of 100), hsc mark (out of 100) and your performance band as said above.

You will be in the paper if you achieve 90 or above as your final HSC result for a subject (ie. the average of your HSC assessment mark and HSC exam mark).

For the Premiere's award, you need to get above 90 for your overall HSC mark (as above) in 10 units.

What you can find out on the 15th November is NOT the asssessment mark, but simply your rank within your school. The purpose of this is to check that it is correct.

you go on studentsonline, log in with your Board Of Studies number, ie your student number, and the pin they mailed to you and then go to Assessment and it has it there, and if you have a problem you ring them up to correct your rank :)
