i realy like 2 compare my results 2 others on this forum 2 see were about i am... its hard 2 compare marks so i will try n compare rankings...

SOR1 14th/114
Mathamatics (prelim) 1st/81
Mathamatics (HSC) 17th/66
Mathamatics Ex1 7th/40 (not yet actualy started course thou)
Physics 3rd/46
Chemistry 9th/42
Biology 9th/38

how does this compare to other and were do ppl think i am at now, in the HSC will this be good enough 4 90+ uai?

You can't really tell what your UAI is going to be from your ranking. It depends what school you're at. A 24/46 in one school will be different from a 24/46 in another school.

Bio: 1/40-ish
I can take a guess at the others too:
Maths (2u): 5/50-ish
Maths (Ext 1): 5/18
Chem: 2/22
Eng (Ext 1): 6/18
Drama: 7/22

Not as good as usual. I should have taken German. I always get 99% in that.

we arernt given ranks as a whole, but we get ranks from each task we do, thus i can predict approz ranks

i've only had a couple of assessments for each subject, but i think these are my ranks so far:

Maths 2U (HSC) - 1/70ish
Maths Ext 1 (HSC) - 3/36
English Advanced - 2/90 (i've only had AOS assessments so far though)
English Ext 1 - 2/25ish
Chemistry - 1/25ish
Economics - 1/21
Business Studies - 1/70ish


This is really only after Term 1, and for Maths I'm doing the accelerant course.
My ranks are bound to change after my recent assessments though.

I'd say I'm pretty low in most of my subjects, but that's just a guess based on observation; we don't get told our rankings. I think maybe we find out in our end of year reports (yr 11).

I've always wondered: do most schools get told their rankings? Cos we never do (I think commerce-y type subjects did for the yr 11 half-yearly, but other than that, zilch).

i gotta compete with yr12 ext 1 and ext 2 guys as well. not only that, but they generally get near 100%, which makes it tough to beat them. my opportunity will come next year when i redo ext 1 (if my mark isn't high enough this year)

i haven't got my ranks for any of my half yearlies as of yet but here are my marks anyway. and they suck alot compared to all of you (or most of you) cos i know my ranking is not in the top 10.

maths: 46/60 (on the other thread it was 44/60 but there were a couple of errors that the teacher who marked it made...wasn't for stupid mistakes i could've gotten 51/60)
chemistry: 38/58 (most of my class got above 40/58 but the test was friggin hard and the highest mark is 100% ...thank goodness i'm doing tutoring next term)
SOR 2U: 31/40
legal studies: 63/70
english (assessment task not half yearly): 14/20
haven't got my ipt marks yet but i think i did well since the task was really easy.
