there are two right hand rules
for magnetic force F = qvbsin theeta
the right hand palm rule finds the direction of the force, where velocity(v) = thumb, magnetic field direction(b) = determined by your fingers and Force(F) is determined by the direction of your palm. (eg. used where questions may ask wether the force is in to the page or out of the page etc)
for torque T =rFsin theeta
the fingers are curled towards the direction of r or F, the thumb points 2 the direction of the torque (eg. used to find direction of the torque)

the right hand palm rule is used when finding magnetic filed around one wire.

right hand palm rule is used when finding force on wire in magnetic field.

make sure u always use your right hand my best friend couldnt work out how she kept getting q's wrong. She is right handed so when she was writing it was easier to use her left.
