Love The National, have never heard of Athens Snowdroppers but will check them out

My fave bands kinda fluctuate but I would put Porcupine Tree, Machinae Supremacy, Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden and led Zeppelin as my top5 atm

YES PINK FLOYD. But in my mind they're more progressive rock than straight up rock.

Snowdroppers are a Sydney band and great fun live. They were also in the film Red Dog (though a bit cheesy)

Haha yeah, so are porcupine tree, but I assumed this thread included prog rock

Disturbed - Nu Metal (Metal is still rock, shh).
Pantera - Oldschool Metal.
Five Finger Death Punch - Uhh... Iunno. Metal?
Velvet Revolver - Rock, one of Slashes recent ventures.
Lacuna Coil - Apparently 'Gothic Metal' but I don't agree. They are not metal. At all. Lol.
