some good bands/singers: the Killers, jeff buckley, jet, coldplay, nirvana, green day, maroon 5 (even though they're a leaning towards pop)

some bands that shouldn't call themselves rock: simple plan and good charlotte

I find it appalling that you list the beauty and grace of Jeff Buckley alongside the derivative and highly pretentious Jet and rich-boy boy-band pop Maroon 5. Theres only one road for you, the slaughter house. Enjoy your stay.

Not to the degree of Jet, and any cockyness on his part is allowable considering his music was of such elegance.

Well i guess whether or not their music is bad or not lies within the subjective, therefore rendering youre comment void. Though i do believe the sheer stupidity of your post is fairly self-evident despite that.

im inclined to agree with mcdickpants because if kurt cobain hadnt shot himself nirvana would be in the same regard as their contemporaries like soundgarden or pearl jam (although the styles of music vary slightly).

I think Jeff Buckley is popular NOW because hes dead, but good regardless. Whereas Nirvana are popular now coz kurt carked it but crap musically.

The only decent music is Metal Rock Alternative and a tad bit of punk!
Im yet to find anyone on this site that has the same taste as I.
For example, how many of you have even heard of Nightwish?
There is nothing more calming and fun than brutalising it up with the best in a full on mosh pit!

Some Kick ass artists/ bands you all need to get listening to include;
Metallica, Murderdolls, Nightwish, Slipknot, Manson, Orgy, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Deep Purple, Kittie, Nine Inch Nails, The Butterfly Effect, Pantera, Slayer, Rage Against The Machine.

Then for a softer touch......
Evenescance, Three Days Grace, The Offspring, Nickelback, System of a Down.

If there is anyone who has inface heard of these bands thenb i appoligise, but like i said, it seems i stand alone with my choice of music.

It's disappointing that the Western World is waging war on the innocent people of Iraq when people like yourself would make much better targets for highly explosive devices. Listening to your "hard-core", ""gothic" music im sure suits your on-edge increasingly depressed existence, but next time you contemplate suicide, do it, and do it well.

Why is it that after hearing my choice of music, you have jumped to the conclusion that I am depressed and suicidal? I can tell you now that I am not. If you do believe that I deserve to have explosives aimed at me, then why don’t you do something about it? What is it that you find so offensive about the music? I think you should look beyond the stereotypes. Look around yourself, if you can honestly say not one of you friends or acquaintances does not share my taste in music, then you live a very sheltered life.
If you are so offended by the music that I listen to, then I think it best if you simply don’t listen to it. :uhhuh: ​
