btw, i was wondering, is Mathematics Extension ONE similar to extension 2 in the way that it is made up of two components? Or is Extension Maths only Component A? And if it is, is the three unit coroneos book sufficient, alongside a few papers?

That is very very close to a payout. However, I will take the compliment.

I should get some otha books, but i dont wanna end up lyk Guardian, where hes got virtually evry book available (jk)

LOL

*chases after Supra with a steak knife*

hmph, I don't USE all of them, I just have them for reference. If I don't understand something, I can just go look in another book. Anyway, what are YOU on about, you have like 3 different books as well. Your school gave em to you, unless I'm mistaken. :)

lol @ Keypad. So you arent mathematically smart  :p

BTW, my local Dymocks doesn't store the 4 Unit Coroneos book. Looks like im gonna hve to travel to Rose Bay. Whats the closest station? If its on the top of your mind, I wouldnt mind knowing, but if your gonna have to look it up, don't worry about it. Since I'm going anyway, I'll look it up.

Or better yet, 131500, tell my problems to the operator, and he/she will tell me EXACTLY what to do to get there. :D

LOL

nah my scool doesnt give books out (tight ass catholic scool), they "prescribed" cambridge, thats it, so i had to buy it myself...my tutor lent me some tho...

i used to have quite a few books for 2unit, and i guess having a number of books allows u to understand a topic from differrent representations, so i get wot u saying..

look up cityrail website, im sure they have a map

humph, i don't need to do that. www.131500.com.au --> trip planner --> enter in my house address and address of Coroneos ---> enter in when i want to arrive at his house, or when i want to leave ---> it gives me all the info i need. Which train to catch from mt druitt station, when i'll get off at edgecliff (is it edgecliff? whatever), which bus to catch or if i ahve to walk, and how long it'll take. etc etc etc etc

In short, in our world, we can do anything on the net. :)

hehe, i just finished teaching myself 2U integration (integration, volume of solids revolved around axis', simpsons rule and trapezoidal rule). Gonna start teaching myself inverse trig as soon as i get off. Haven't been doing much 4U in the last couple of days. :( But I figure that if i can finish off the 2u course these holidays (will finish off before end of next week, i only have 2.5 topics remaining, applications of calculus to phys world, trig functions and a bit of logs) and finish off 3u course around mid-term 1 (hopefully) then i can concentrate on 4U for the rest of the year. I'll only have to do 3u trial papers, and it'll be revision enough, plus listen in to my teacher (I might even learn something :) ).

heheh, hopefully thats a good plan. I'll still finish off complex numbers by the end of htese holidays (i've finished off fitzpatrick, will finish off coroneos).

LOL, damn, i have big plans, don't I? But then, I don't really do anything at home, just muck around, do nothing. Maybe play some computer games. humph.

I was on NMSS, where we did little to no work, or at least I did.
I didn't start past papers until the end of term 1.

You want the non-trivial zeroes? Screw that.

My aim is to be on the team that figures out the Yang-Mills theory one within the next 50 years.

Maybe because he doesn't want the million.

Is everyone sure it's well and truly solved? Or is there still some speculation?

LOL! Don't worry, I'm not working all day. :)

Trust me, I waste heaps of time playing computer games. 7 Months ago I played Counter strike semi-professionally, so nowadays I just play counter strike. I'm not as good as i used to be, but im quite a bit above average.

Trust me, I work, play some, work, read some books, work, play, eat, work, etc. Not work work work.

And think about it: 2 and a bit two unit topics. I've done most of Logs, but I think there is a bit left. Like I havent done base e, whatever that is and i havent done the calculus of logs. And supposedly Trig Functions is a short topic. Applications is the biggest problem, I think. So finishing that in around 10 days isn't exactly working REALLY hard.

This is my schools topic timeline: (for year 12)
24. Integration 2U HSC
25. Complex Numbers 4U HSC
26. Further Polynomials 4U HSC
27. Trigonometric Functions 2U HSC & 3U HSC
28. Calculus of Logarithmic Functions 2U HSC
29. Inverse Functions and Inverse Trig 2U HSC & 3U HSC
30. Integration by Substitution 3U HSC

31. Further techniques of Integration 4U HSC
32. Advanced Graphing Techniques 4U HSC
33. Applications of Calculus to Physical World 2U HSC
3U HSC
34. Elementary Particle Dynamics 4U HSC
35. Binomial Theorem and Further Probability 3U HSC
36. Harder Inequalities 4U HSC
37. Computing Volumes 4U HSC
38. Conic Sections 4U HSC
39. Motion in a circle 4U HSC
40. Harder 3 Unit Topics 4U HSC

In bold are the three unit topics I need to still do. So week five is around 8ish weeks away. Do you think I will have to work THAT hard to finish it by then? I have nothing to do these holidays, and I'm the sort who finds Maths interesting. Its not as if I'm bored shitless while im doing maths, I enjoy it (to a certain extent anyway, absolutely hate trig :( ). And I'm kinda lazy, if I don't make a plan, I won't do ANYTHING. If i do make a plan, I'll do SOME of the plan at least. I might even (wonders of wonders) achieve my plan. :)

Would I understand them?

And do you know if coroneos has come back from his holiday trip?

Well put, Keypad. So now your calling SOMEONE (*nudge nudge*) a fool. lol

I asked Keypad a question too hard for him (Riemann Hypothesis) and now GuardiaN is asking me questions too hard for me.

I have no idea if Coroneos is back from holidays. Also, I don't know if GuardiaN will understand Perelman's stuff. It depends on how much he's studied - and how hard he's worked!...
I haven't studied much outside of the high school syllabus. And I didn't really work all that hard last year. Especially the first semester, I went really bad in maths in the first semester. Second semester I picked up a bit, and in the first assessments I went fairly well. Overall, I did NOT work hard last year. ah well, i'll do my best to remedy it this year.

But what you said Perelman's math is very new and powerful and frightening and whatnot. If its new, would I understand it? I doubt it, unless its based on what we do in school. :-\

Berloody Coroneos. He said coupla days, and I rang him on new years day. Its the eighth today. And I have to buy 5 books off him. He'd better give me a discount.

Humph
