I think people judge people as 'stupid' just because they disagree with them, or think something they have done is stupid... I'm sure Saddam is a relatively smart man...

Comrade: Yea, Whenever there's a show showing the more 'personal' side of famous leaders It really sucks... because you begin to feel for them, understand them.

"He'd eat a family size bag of Doritos in 10 minutes," Private Dawson said.
I wonder if this is a lie. Eating a family size bag of Doritos in 10 minutes can be a messy. Now for a man who is a clean freak, i wonder how true this statement is.

Probably just hyperbole.

I don't think it's exactly the US's place to displace him as president of Iraq, as much as I dislike the guy and all

An international body such as the UN.
However, I realise that's assuming a level of, hmm, competence that they don't actually have.

Also, as much as it was a shithouse regime... the whole basis of displacing it was false, as there's evidence a million times over that there were no WMD. The election they had was not sanctioned by the government (whether we agree with their system of government or not isn't really relevant) and since Iraq, as it turns out, didn't actually pose any direct threat to the US... there's something of an argument that Saddam legally *is* still president of Iraq.

Well... yes we do. But they have a nuclear weapon they could turn on us, and they're very close to china etc. Certainly it would be a good thing to have kim removed from power, if what I have read about him is correct.
