I have just sat through "Love Actually" tearing up whenever soppy songs came on:

Dido - Here With Me and The Calling - Wherever You Go have made me bawl.

I LOVE Wherever You Will Go, its an awsome song. I may have posted this onn the other thread, but a song I heard on Fireflies the other week was I Guess I Get A Little Emotional Sometimes by Paul Kelly. Absolutely loved it.

:( have u heard paul kelly's 'for eleanor' from the lantana s/t ?? its soo sad. :( and 'stuck on you' by lionel ritchie - i still can't tell if its meant to be a happy or sad song LoL i think its meant to be bitter sweet, but it sounds so sad. :|

EDIT: also, 'dirty little secret' by sarah mclachlan. *Cries* and on the love actually theme, 'both sides now' - joni mitchell. that song makes my heart break. :(

Yes, Last Kiss, certainly... and I'd like to nominate an unlikely song, cause its heavy metal, wait, 2 songs.. both by Metallica, but you just read the lyrics and man.... One, and Unforgiven... When I first saw the film clip for one and listened properly to the words, I almost cried.....

Ben Folds - Fred Jones part 2

It's not about lost loves, or anyone dying or anything, just about a man getting old, and retiring. I tear up whenever I hear it.

"Today's just a day like the day that he started
No one is left is here who knows his first name
and life barrels on like a runaway train"

and then later in the song

"Forgotten but not yet gone"

Ah, gets me everytime.

Edit:
And also "Padriac my prince" by Bright Eyes. It's about how the guys baby brother drowned and yeah. Sad.

With or Without You was the song that they played during the funeral in Looking for Alibrandi and it always makes me cry when I watch that movie!
