Im kinda confused because basically everyone at my school dont care abotu the SC and aren't studying...but then i come on here and everyon seems to be

Im just reading over everything the night before each...but not for English and COmputing (im not doing anything)

Anyhow so my question is, if im not dropping out, does it really matter at all? I heard they were thinkign of phasing it out althogether...any truth to that rumour?

Well if you're not dropping out I suppose it dosen't really matter..
But yeah I see what you mean seems lke everyone on here is studying heaps, but I'm just gonna read a bit the night before and see what happens, not that big of a deal, HSC is what really counts I suppose.

If you're not dropping, then it doesn't count. I only seeing it being counted to some people as bragging rights or as a reputation indicator, but thats irrelevant.

The BoS will eventually phase the SC, but why would you worry? :)

If memory serves me correctly, it's used to see if we can cope with Year 11/12.
I didn't take this year seriously at all, so for me it's not going to truly reflect how I'll cope.

I'll put more effort in for year 11/12 so I'm not overly fussed about how I go in the SC... as long as I go ok.

Everyone's studying because they don't have anything else that's more interesting to do on a Sunday night. Yeah.

I expect some are sleeping at 9pm just to have a good night's sleep for an exam that will have no relevance in their life.

It does have relevance if your school is so concerned about academic matters that they want you all to get band 6. Talk about pressure.

It doesnt look too hard, but you never know...

And they're getting rid of it next year, apparently. It's going to become a Basic Skills Test as less people are dropping out in Year 10 anyway.

Everyone is supposed to sit the exam at the same time. The times are on the BoS website, I believe. The rooms will be allocated by the school, of course.

I was a bit cut when I was told that.
Mmm.... What do you mean exactly...?

Personally I feel like some sort of guinea pig. We were the last ones on the Selective Test as well before they changed it.

Meh.
