YOu really cant study for maths and english. Bare minimum study in the rest will set you up for a good mark.

Agreed!! But still, it's funny to hear about all the people who did no study and got excellent marks. I did the SC in 2002 and got:

English: 93
Maths: 88
Science: 83
History: 91 (don't ask how-history is my least fave subject!)
Geography: 95 (again, don't ask how, I just memorised a biodiversity essay and was set!!)

Geography 70 (Our teacher just crapped on about bushfires and China...we did no work)

I could have done better but I did no study at all.

It's pretty much the same now...no study but I get lower marks for stuff...If I was male I bet I would have a better chance and opportunity to get a good HSC mark...so my potential goes to waste...

This test doesn't really show what ppl are capable of. Multiple choice is pathetic and the long answer questions are probably worse. They are so vague. I have no idea how well or badly I did because I didn't really get any solid feedback. Let's hope the HSC proves to be a better examination

haha, this is pretty damn late but you know figured I may as well post em up. Also, I feel that lying about your school cert results is pretty damn sad, yes I'm pointing at anyone that claimed they got above 90 on all of their subjects, albeit 96-97-98-99-100's, you are lame, and I should shoot you. Actually, just you know, mildly hurt you or something.. perhaps a knee or two.. you don't really need them anyway.

English 95 - kind of dissapointing
History 92
Science 84 - No idea how I got that kind of mark, as I did nothing for 2 years
Geography 83 - dito
maths 74 - a result I was particularily proud of, as my failure to do ANYTHING in maths for the last 3 years almost got me kicked out of the 'Fort'.

i got the same english mark as you! i didn't even try but still it was annoying, where the hell are my other 5 marks??
i beat you in maths by one mark hahaha. and geography by 6 i think. the others you beat me in tho.

haha, beat me upwards, or beat me downwards? ;-) for instance, if someone got 75 in maths, I consider my 74 as beating them, because obviously, who gives a fuck about maths
