if u read offical lines there is no scaling

if you do 12 units.. maths might not matter because they only include the 10 best units.. to my knowledge..
OR you could be like me and bomb 6 of your 10 units with the expression "theres always TAFE"... :|

i used to b ALLRIGHT at mathematics... was 5th in the prelims.. its the damn HSC course.. i didnt do enuff work in it.. and now im near last in the class...
the way i look at it.. no point lookn back.. do study now.. might improve my mark 5%.. thats 5% i wouldnt have if i didnt study.

its only 2 days of full on study.. and 3hrs of total brain combustion.. then maths is over... FOREVER *insert evil laugh here*

Tutoring is definately unessential to do well in Mathematics
u just need a bit of time and patience to understand each concept in each topic

Well, if your scaled mark for maths is your lowest (except for english), then it wont count

I go to maths tutes. They're good. Very helpful, especially if you have little study discipline.

i did try dis way...it works...wat i did was spending more time on maths...doin lotz excercises...
i'm only doin 10 units...n they r all likly 2 b sclaing down....datz y i can't fail...maths is seems 2 b da easiest way 2 gettin marks...n i really need 2 do well in dat

Have u just started year 12??

i wud suggest that as soon as u are given an exercise by ur teacher, u shud get ur hands on other books like Cambridge, maths in Focus, Fitz Patrick, Past Papers..n d0 exercises from these books...dats wat i did! a bit time consuming, but gives u more confidence~!

check on SAM to find the "sweet spot" where your marks dont get scaled down much at all

well i mean comparing 2 da 3&4u...n there is a great amount of ppl doin 2u...yeh...lik business study ..it is definitely not easy..but da scaling isn't gd..i think datz bcuz 2 many many ppl doin it...any1 agree wif me?

i think its a scale down if u dont do 3u! cos 3u prepares u for a band 6 in 2u...im not saying its not possible to get a band 6 if u only do 2u....it just mite need more hard work..but id say bad 5 in 2u doesnt help *all that much*!

no true. you also need to understand the different questioning, and be able to put everything you have learnt into one question.
